Ways to Give

You can help the children of Rock of Hope International in the following ways:

When you become a child sponsor, you will receive a photograph and personal information about your child.

Annually you will receive a progress report on your child along with a newsletter.

You will be able to correspond with your child and you will receive letters from your child twice a year.

When you become a sponsor of RoHI, you will receive annually our newsletter and updates about our various programs.

Monthly Sponsors:

Deductions from your account will be made on the first of every month.
One month’s written notice is required for termination of sponsorship.
To start sponsorship, please fill the form along with your credit card information (Visa or Mastercard). If you wish to have the funds deducted from your account, please send a void cheque along with the form to us by mail.

To all donors and sponsors, a tax receipt will be issued for amounts exceeding $10 on an annual basis, at the end of the year.

Once I sponsor a child what happens next?

Upon sponsorship you will receive a photograph and personal information about your child. Included in this information will be a client number for yourself and one for your child.

You will also receive a letter from your child twice a year. Annually you will receive RoHI’s newsletter, updating you about RoHI-run programs and a progress report on your child.

If I choose to sponsor a child for $35 a month, how will my money be used?

Your money in India will be used to food, clothing, all school needs such as school fees, uniforms, and school supplies, transportation of the children from school and back, , tutorials, etc, medical care and for accommodation and care at the Children’s Home.

Your money in Sri Lanka will be used for food, clothing, all school needs such as school fees, uniforms, and school supplies, transportation of the children from school and back, tutorials, medical care and any other needs that may arise.

Will I be able to write to my child?

You can write to your child as often as you like. Please indicate your client number and the child’s number on your letter and send it to RoHI. We will be delighted to forward your letters to the children and they will welcome your communication.

Will I be able to send gifts to my child?

You can send a monetary gift not exceeding $30 on the occasion of your child’s birthday and at Christmas time. This is to ensure that the gifts received by all the children are fair and equitable.

Will I be able to visit my child?

A visit to your child is most welcome. Please notify RoHI two months prior to your visit as some conditions do apply. For further information please contact us.

How long do I need to sponsor my child?

You can sponsor your child as long as they are in our care or until you no longer can sponsor him/her. If you wish to terminate your sponsorship, you will have to send RoHI one month’s written notification.

Will my sponsorship ever be stopped by RoHI?

In the event that a child no longer requires help, we will terminate our work with that child and provide you the opportunity to sponsor another child.

If I choose to sponsor RoHI on a monthly basis or give a one time donations, where will my money be used?

RoHI is committed to spending a minimum of 85% of the funds received via sponsorship and donations for its various programs.
